Poster Presentation Instructions

Approximately 1700 papers will be presented at the conference, distributed over each of the five days. Each paper will be assigned a specific poster space on one specific day. Setup Times & Specification Information is outlined below:

Poster Setup Times

The poster area will be open for setup starting at 07:30 each day, and the posters should be in place no later than 10:00. The posters for the Monday Aug. 2 session may also be put up on Sunday Aug. 1 between 16:00 and 18:00 so that they can be viewed during the Opening Ceremonies. Takedown time will be from 16:00 to 16:30 each day.

Authors are encouraged to attend their posters, as much as they can, throughout the coffee breaks and lunch period so that they can discuss their work with as many delegates as possible.

Poster Information

The poster board size is 4 ft. (122 cm) high by 8 ft. (244 cm) wide. The boards are cork covered and pins will be provided for mounting poster materials.

There are commercial printing and copying firms near the Convention Centre where posters can be printed in large format, and colour, from computer files.

Computer presentations

Tables will be available for authors who wish to augment their poster presentation with the use of computers. Authors must provide their own computers and be responsible for security. Power (60 cycle 120 volt) will be available for those needing it (Canadian/USA 2 prong plug or adapter required).

Internet access for presentations will be available by advance arrangement only; poster presenters who have requested that facility have been contacted. Those for whom internet access has been authorized will need to have their own laptop computers with wireless connection capability. Technical assistance will be available during the morning setup time from 07:30 – 10:00 a.m.
